Charity

Our designated charity is the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen (Fisherman's Mission). We regularly have fundraising events to raise funds for this very worthwhile charity which helps widows and orphans of those lost at sea. We have raised thousands of pounds over the years with many varied events and have four times been invited to attend presentations in London, when we have raised the most funds in the North of England.

Fusco's often enter the Boxing Day dip at Whitby and have organised a Beach Volleyball competition amongst other initiatives. We have entered floats in the Whitby Regatta, held balloon races and raffles and have even decorated fishing trawlers.

China Trek

In October 2009, Stuart Fusco teamed up with Arnold Locker of Lockers Fish of Whitby, suppliers of fresh fish to Quayside and Royal Fisheries, and also his youngest son, skipper James Locker, along with other fishermen from Scotland, to walk the Great Wall of China.
The group hoped to raise as much money as possible for the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen. The walk took in approximately 100 kilometres of the Great Wall and was very gruelling in parts as it is very steep in some sections, but also a great experience.
Many customers and businesses pledged their support to Stuart and the rest of the team by making donations.
